A Bit About Me
I have over 30 years experience as an award-winning Theatre-maker, earning my BFA in Acting from NYU’s Tisch School of Drama, and then fostering a successful career as a Broadway actor and singer. Along the way, I redefined my definition of theatrical creativity to include directing, writing, and now, an educator, wherein I guide the newest generations of performers towards achieving their very best. I curated pedagogical prowess by earning my MFA in Performance Pedagogy from Loyola Marymount University in 2024, where I was a Graduate Teaching Fellow with classroom experience in acting, voice, and movement disciplines and directing undergraduate students in production.
Because of my performing career, I am especially adept at helping students bridge the gap of knowledge between the unique physical, emotional, and financial realities of a career as a professional performer with their undergraduate pursuits, where their priority is to build a foundation of technical comprehension. The most practical key is to offer diverse coursework which allows students to identify methods that are best suited for their specific goals and strengths. I provide students with the most achievable and efficient methods to build and execute characters, so they may expand their opportunities and work in the arts with regularity.
