A bit about me as a
DIRECTOR

I’m a director with a deep background as a professional actor, singer, and theatre-maker, and over three decades of experience working across performance, pedagogy, and production. My directing practice is grounded in trust. I cast smart, capable actors and invite them into a collaborative process where their intelligence, instincts, and lived experience actively shape the work. Years onstage have given me a clear understanding of how storytelling functions in real time, and a lasting respect for the actor–director relationship as a shared creative responsibility.

In the rehearsal room, I prioritize clarity, rigor, generosity, and collaboration. I work to establish a unified vision early, then empower designers and artists to bring that vision to life through their own expertise. My productions are actor-centered and emotionally grounded, with design, movement, and text operating in alignment rather than competition. At the core of my work is a commitment to creating rehearsal environments where artists feel trusted, challenged, and supported, because that’s where bold, cohesive, and fully alive theatre actually happens.
